:think2:

1 in 20 tables that I frequent has an old(over 55) lady playing.

Money is made playing against young men(under 24) than females over the age of 55...............much more.

Fish is right about the old ladies and old men. The reason why old people are generally successful in the long term at no-limit poker is because they are so tight.

Sure they will never win a huge pot, but they also will never lose very many chips in any one pot

Fish,
what about you? I know you keep track, how are you doing with it?

Stuff has always intrigued me but for some reason have never really got all the way into it.

Thanks!!

Winning player at NO LIMIT with thousands and thousands of hours logged in.

Have I done as well with NO LIMIT poker and other forms of poker when comparing this activity to sportsbetting and video poker/slots? No, not even comparable at this point in my gambling career.

Having said that, in the past month or so, have tried to find leaks in my NO LIMIT game, as well as employing a couple different strategies, to enhance my overall hourly rate.........small progress is being made.

I do think the day will come (shortly) when on-line poker will be legalized and when that happens the flood gates will open and I am going to wish I knew what the hell I was doing.

I would say up in no limit down a bit in limit and omaha but up overall have'nt kept stats on it but I know for sure I've withdrawn a lot more than I've deposited.

By the way I basicly quit poker to focus on sports betting.

Fish do you think you'd do better in one area of gambling if you gave up everything else just to focus on one thing.

What is hourly win rate Fish?

In Florida 5-10 NL, $15 per hour currently........which is 1.5 times the big blind per hour.

Many good players strive for 2-4 big blinds per hour............I'm not that good.

Hitting a bad beat jackpot at the Hard Rock would dramatically increase my overall hourly win rate. :)

BBJP was at 193K when I left last night.

Inceased ## of donkeys coming this week per the Superbowl, maybe you hourly can see a temporary increase, GL.

What is the minimum buy in for the $5-10 fish?

I would assume that minimum buyin would be $500? At that rate, then I am sure that quite a few hours that you would average $100 an hour. Playing in a loose $5-10 game will result in pots of over $500-1000 every 15 minutes

Are you working this Sunday night?

I will be there for the $50,000 lottery drawing and thus will log a couple hours in the pokerroom.

Currently I've been playing at Derby on a daily basis because of their various promos and more imporantly, it's 20x closer for me than the HR.

Fish, I was at my local casino 2 months ago and the bad beat jackpot was 2 times during a span of 3 hours. And only around 10-12 tables were in action.

The first jackpot paid around $110,000 and the second jackpot was around $22,000 due to the backup jackpot

true that.. that IS the description of a fish. We have this old lady that didn't even know how to play and she was calling $20 and $50 raises with like 10 high and no draws... well... I guess she had a trips-draw after the flop lol. She does this week in and week out now, weird >:\

Wow, that is incredible.

Way overdue to hit something of signifcance from my $1 donations.

Earlier this week I hit quads........won $50 in jackpot money. :)

Today and tommorrow at Derby Lane they are giving away two Superbowl tickets for the high hands between 2-8 and 8-2..........roughly a $4500 value.
