Two questions, really.
First, I will be in Vegas Nov 9-14 and plan to do some non-casino stuff, since that's all I've done when there in the past.
I'd like to take at least one full day to do some hiking. Bearing in mind that I am not acclimated to intense dry heat (from Toronto-ish) where can I hike up to 15 miles or so and not kill myself? I can probably handle an elevation change of up to 3000 ft, based on past experience, but don't do any actual rock climbing. Switchbacks or up to Grade 2 rock scrambling only. I've been looking into Red Rock Canyon .. is it too touristy??
Also, any Vegas Rxers wanna get together for drinks while I'm there? I will be for sure parked in a Sportsbook (not sure which one, yet) that Sunday (week 10) but otherwise have a fairly flexible itinerary.
Finally, a vacation!!! Yay!
