.. or anyone else who might know:

Olympic has the following available for the Mayweather-Gatti fight:

109 Fight is a Draw +1800
110 Fight is Not a Draw -2600
111 Fight is Declared a No Contest +5000

My question is, if the fight is declared a "No Contest", what happens with the Draw/No Draw bets ? Does the Draw bet win, does the Not a Draw bet win, do they both lose, or are they both No-Actioned ?

Thanks in advance.

....

Good question. Odessa is gone for the night and I am sure didn't see this thread. He might know but Chris from Olympic would be the better person to answer since Odessa don't work there and Chris does. I am sure Odessa wouldn't want to tell you wrong, as shit changes and it's been a while since he worked there. Anyways, I will make sure he will see this thread tomorrow.

....

No draw wins because it wasn't a draw, and draw losses because it wasn't a draw and no contest obviously wins. That is what Odessa said :drink:

I could be wrong but I dont think a NO CONTEST is a possible result after looking over the Rules. This is a WBC bout, sanctioned by the NJ State Atletic Control Board. There are the Rules of the WBC and the Commsion. I think the WBC hold precident over the NJ Rules anyway in a title bout. By the looks of it, it would take a natural disaster to cause a No Contest.

WBC RULES:
No standing 8 count
No 3 Knockdown rule
Fighter can be saved by the bell in the last round only
10 point must system is in effect
Only the referee can stop the fight
3 judges score
Accidental head butt:
Technical Draw up to the end of the fourth round
Goes to the scorecard after the fourth round

New Jersey Rules:
No Standing 8 count
No 3 Knockdown rule
Fighter cannot be saved by the bell in any round
Only the referee can stop the fight
10 point must system
3 judges score
If headbutt occurs, goes to the scorecards if half the fight is completed.

Like Valk said, I havent worked at OLY for a while. You mentioned me in the title, so I gave a response based on my opinion and what I know about unified and State rules. As far as grading and stuff my guess is what Val said in his post. Last thing I wanna do is speak for OLY and have it cause a problem for book or a player. The above is just how I would have graded it.

Check w/ Cris for sure before going on my thoughts. Good luck.
