Every so often you see a book change its software. Recently Bowmans, and Royal changed thier software. I see very little improvement in either. What my question is, what input do you solicit form your players prior changing your software. DO you even care what you players think. I know for myself, with the exception of megasb, no one has ever asked me what I thought of thier software/web design. And even in the case of megasb, none of my suggestion were ever implemented.

I just took a look at Royals new site, and I can't figure out wha Keving King is thinking (or somking) If they want to change thier software, why not switch to homebets old software. I really liked that site.

After watching the industry for many years, there are about a dozen software providers that cater exclusivly to the offshore book. Many books try to bring the software in house or add on to the providers software. At times the agreeemnt between the provider and the user is broken or the sofware becomes out dated on the back end ( a credit shop vrs a post up shop will have different needs) The ways of entering, recording, profiling, reporting, processing financial transactions etc all are very important, as well with credit shops the need to report not only in house but with agents located all over the world. Various players may have different lines or VIg offered on various different profiles etc.

The interface of the providers sofware is not always located in house and at time is located on the providers servers, if they can not keep up witht he growth of a book or meet the demands of the interface updates a book will start shopping for a provider that can. It is a never ending saga it seems and one that is not likely to change for some time.

Like most business owners, deliverying of the goods is what is important. At times the owners are not attuned to the customers want of "pretty" or ease of use on the site, but the serviec is there.

Hope this helps answer the question.

You bring up a good topic. Never understood why books don't just keep it simple. My votes for the better interfaces are Pinnacle, Wagerstreet (the only good thing I can say about this book), and Canbet. At the other end, I find Intertops and Carib's interfaces to be pretty awful.

have you ever try bet365.com and/or
sportingbet.com interface?.

ej: Changing between decimal odds, fractional odds, and the american odds...

in soccer, recalculating different types of bets, ej: no draw/no bet.

the software already have it,,, if you call your bookie and ask for that proposition, will take minutes.. instead of 1 second...
