Question for baseball experts. Does anyone else think Soriano should use a smaller bat?

I think he should go down a few ounces and try to be the prototype leadoff hitter instead of a HR hitter. It would certainly help his horrist K to BB ratio.

Strutt, I agree, but the last two season Soriano has been lights out at the start ... and fades to an average hitter during the 2nd half.

The YES announcers touched on this last season, saying it's not uncommon for players to drop 1/2 ounce as the season wears on and fatuige sets in.

Not sure why Sori doens't do this.

Smaller o lighter?

When I played I used a very big bat, but it was extra light....34 inch-32 or 31ounce...

I would bet Soriano`s bat is lighter than it looks, and its hard to knock a guy who is as great as he is...This guy is awesome and he looks like weighs about 150 lbs...What more could you want?
