I'll be heading to Vegas this August with a few of my friends, and I wanted to know if you had to be 21 to legally enter and gamble in the casinos there. We're all 19 years old and driving from oregon, so forgive us for not knowing the laws there.
Thx a lot guys

21 for everything, sorry. You aren't even supposed to be in the casino area under 21, but they are fairly lenient as long as its obvious you aren't gambling.

Dont even try either, becaues they take this VERY SERIOUSLY in Vegas.

Your time will come, be patient.

Enjoy your youth.

This town is definitely not where you want to come for vacation if you aren't 21.

No, you guys will not have any fun as anybody under 21 will be treated as a child.

Get on a flight to Atlantic City...they NEVER card. Then again, I've looked like a 45-year-old terrorist since the age of 15...but still, I've never seen anyone get carded. Kinda far from Oregon, though...

TJ starts right on the border with some bars and shops less than 5 minutes from when you go through the gate. Its about half-mile walk to the main tourist drag Revolucion or you can pay $5 for a cab that will take you just about anywhere you want to go. The houses of ill repute, Chicago and Adelitas, aren't too far from the main tourist area but you won't find them without knowing where you are going. There is a Caliente sports book about 500 feet from the border crossing, but not exactly a Vegas-style place, its outdoors with picnic chairs and tables and mostly a Mexican crowd betting on horses. There are a few nicer books further from the border, Pueblo Amigo, Jai Alai, and the one at the racetrack are all nice options.

I havent been to those places in like 10 years but I know they aren't ever going to change or close talk about goldmines.

I go down there a lot to visit some friends. The town gets an unfair rap, its got great weather, tons of partying options, and easy to get into out of for a day or two of fun.
