I have recently been playing at absolute poker. I have a party poker account which I haven't used in quite some time. Are these two poker rooms the same company? I though I read somewhere you can't have accounts at both? Is that right or am I on crack?

no they are totally independent peteep.

EmpirePoker and PartyPoker are the same, but even in that case you can have accounts at both.

In summary, there are no 2 poker sites on the internet where you cannot have an account at both

Oh yeah, one more thing. I logged in to party poker yesterday for the first time in a while cause they emailed me telling me they added a free $20. When I looked, every single table had a waiting list. Is this the norm now?

Tekari-

FYI...apparently Party has stopped players from having accounts at their site and their skins. If you previously had accounts at Party and one (or more) of their skins you are fine. With that said, if you have a Party account and try to open an Empire account you cannot do so using the same information. This is what I read at a different site.

I have no idea whether or not Absoulte is a Party skin or not.

Peteep-

If you CURRENTLY have accounts at both sites my guess is that you can use them even IF Absolute is a Party skin.

For the most part yes but my experience is that the lists move fast.

What limits are you looking to play?

I play absolutepoker and party and they definetly aren't skins... absolutepoker has maybe 1000 customers so your fine.

Swami,

That is interesting. I just had a friend signup at both last week and he didn't have any problems. Where did you read about this? I checked both websites and didn't see any rules about registering at both. I hope this isn't true.
