Question about neteller debit card

I live in Canada. When I withdraw money to "load" the card, do the funds remain in U.S. dollars? My intention is to use the card only when traveling to the U.S. and not in Canada as the exchange rate wouldn't be as good as I can get. I just want to make sure that when I load the card, the currency stay in US dollars and doesn't automatically convert to Canadian even though I live here.

I could be wrong but it depends on which card you have. There are two. One is for outside the US and uses nonUSA banks.

thanks guys. I tried to get the answer today but the guy I talked to wasn't confident with his answer. I could tell he was new. He told me a couple of things which seemed to contradict his original answer. I guess I'll try emailing.

The card I have is through a US bank, so funds would naturally be in USD...look at your card and see who issued it...if not, you may be able to get an Amrerican card if you request it through Panam...
