question about neteller ATM card

Does anybody's card have the name of the cardholder printed on it like a normal debit card does?

Mine didn't have it and I am wondering if from my banks point of view they have no record of who made the transaction which would be PRETTY AWESOME

The card I have is the international one

How is it you came to have the international one. Where do you live?

Billdozer, I would take whatever he says with a grain of salt. I think about 50% of what I read here is true. Too much--he said, she said, etc.

That's one reason I won't get the card. It may give "the appearance of" doing something wrong; as crazy as that sounds. Plus a fee to get balance and a dormancy fee.

There is an international card but it is for people outside the US. I think it is blue. The card is an OK deal in some aspects. Its cheaper than WU and just as quick to get 2k in your poscket.

( i just realized because of a thread here that you can get 1k out of most ATMS)

Yeah-That's exactly what I mean. You have no way of knowing if he is outside the US or not. Yet he comes in and makes that statement.

Just as I have read countless times over and over and over again. that Neteller asks you for a social security no. (When I questioned that as I said they have NEVER asked me for a social security number) The answer I got was that was becasue I was "grandfathered in". Little later it was said by someone else that they only needed the ss # for a card. Then I heard that no--it was to be in compliance with the Patriot Act of the US. Well_i'm in the Us and (fingers crossed) they've never asked me for a ss #--therfore I won't ask them for a card.
Confusion reigns supreme. We never heard the final reply as to what the story is in Maryland. And why just Maryland??? Geeze . Maybe because they have good crab cakes there!! For all I know!

Not even calling Neteller will get you the right answer. It depends on who you talk with.I could give you an unbelievable experience with one "young lady" that I spoke with there last fall. We had a bit of a language problem. I asked her if she was sure about what I was asking. She said "yes" or what sounded like yes. I asked here what was her name? I could not understand it after asking three times. So I asked her if she could please spell it for me. Here is excatly what she spelled and I read it back to her. P U S H P I N D ER.

Yes--they are good--Yes I like them. But how is it to anyone's advantage to be kept in the dark on exactly what the rules are there.

Just trying to help. I actually know the source of the information in my previous post very well. He's not an "internet" contact either. Just passing along some info...the card is pretty nice.

I don't think you can get the international card unless you are not a resident of the US, because to get the card you need to be verified and for international members you have to submit a copy of your passport as proof of id, for americans obviously it would be stupid to try to hide anything as the IRS has ears everywhere

The card got even better when I read that you can withdraw >1k in one day.

Problem with the international cards is that they cannot be used with the cash machines in the united states.

Also I don't believe neteller requires your full SSN anymore. Just the last 4 digits.

The international cards work just fine in the USA, as long as you are at a machine that accepts Cirrus. I use mine in Florida constantly

 

I will vouch that Wolfie-cr is in Costa Rica. I have met him and played cards with he and his lady. Good people.

One of my European friends was in the US recently and he used his NETeller debit card overthere. At least he hasn't told me it didn't work out.
