What is the advantage in booking a room through the group list as opposed to making our own arrangements? I saw prices online for GN at around $50/night. I am not trying to nickel and dime. Quite the contrary. I have no problem paying good money for nice room, but I would rather stay in the same hotel as everyone else. Input is appreciated. My gf is not thrilled about staying at the GN so I basically need a reason to explain to her why we wont be staying at the Bellagio or the Venetian. Thanks.

Doc what site was that? ..but I think Angelle is going to notify the Host all of our names so we can be taken care of....I think, if you bet a lot you can get comped thru the host as well....that may be another advantage is to get rated with the host at GN ..

Not all posters can afford the Venetian or Bellagio.

The deal that GN got for the Rx was good, not just with the rooms but they are throwing in the meeting room and we'll get them to throw in some extra goodies.

The GN is the absolute nicest joint downtown, ( It was a Steve Wynn property), and the rooms are solid.

Obviously, you could stay elsewhere and take a taxi, but that's your call.

Got ya. Again, I am not trying to come off as a snob. Actually, my gf pulls in 2x what I make in year, so thats not the issue. I was just curious as to what the advantage was to booking through Rx, ie room upgrade etc..
