job market is extremely tough right now in many areas.

Personally I would suggest widening the potential markets you are looking at. If you are trying to live in a specific city, you might not find anything.

Also, if you get an offer, keep in mind that you may have to accept a salary quite a bit less than what you may have been led to believe. With your degree, unless you are at the top of your class, $25,000 is probably a reasonable start anywhere outside a large metro area. You may even have to go lower.

Just keep your chin up little trooper you will find something. I know that when I graduated with a 2.0 (of course this was on a breathalyzer) I had trouble finding work, but alas, I was able to find the perfect job. You can find me now Mon - Fri at the mall handing out samples of Chick-Fil-A. Where else can you work and eat for FREE.

Having experienced some auto troubles recently I have found a big need for auto mechanics in this area. Most shops are booked for a week with a population of 40K.

i had a job when i went trough college and what i am doing now, has absolutely nothing to do with what I wasted 4 years of my life on. So, you can do what i did and find any job until you find something in your field. GL i graduated many moons ago and have been working for 6 years in something completely different from gastronomy.

There are a little over 2000 hours in the normal work year so even at 10 /hr you are only a little over 20k a year

You educational background doesn't sound bad, but you will have to be flexible about what type of work you want and where you are willing to work. I work in a field that has a need for people with your skills, doing PR and finance at the same time. Tough field to move up in though, but lots of mediocre pay starting jobs in it as long as you go to a place with lots of business headquarters, the usual top 10 cities. Are you trying to find something in a smaller town or are you located in a big metro?
