I hit a 2$ tri bet at los alamitos, betting the 3/1248. The result was 3/8/and a dead heat for third between 2 and 1. The 3/8/1 paid 24.20 on the 2$ tri and the 3/8/2 paid 111.60. My offshore book only paid me for the 24.20 tri. Is this correct?
No. If you had a full $2 ticket on that wheel you should get both payouts for $136.00. It's possible your book didn't know that there was a dead heat for third and only saw the first combination. Let them know what happened.
My question is: what offshore book takes action on Los Alamitos?
yes there were 2 trifectas paid as well as 2 superfectas because of the dead heat for third. I was only paid for the smallest of the 2 trifectas although i had both third place horses in my bet.
The bet was made with Carib and they resolved the payout error very quickly. In my experience they are heads and shoulders above most books when it comes to resolving disputes of any kind. You send them a memo and they get right back to you.
Most books only have a few guys in there horse room. Sometimes you have to keep on top of them. I've played horse parlays with sportsbooks and the first was scratched and the second horse won and was credited with a cancelled wager so I called and it was corrected! If you call and it doesn't get corrected then there is a problem . If you call and the problem gets solved which I'm sure most do then its cool!
E-horse was having some problems grading their House Quinellas this past Saturday... a glitch was grading winners as losers. Got right on the live chat and they fixed the problem in minutes. They seemed like they were right on top of the situation and earned a thumbs-up from me for their timely handling of it.
This happened to me at ehorse one day...I emailed them and they fixed it immediately...like someone else suggested, they probably just didn't realize there was a deadheat...
