My Reno play on the Queens was a real dud.

I see the total set at 5 -125
Seems low to me.
Recent play is indicitive of a higher score, I hope.
LA can't keep the puck out of the net, and Wild have gotten at least 2 goals L7. LA can usually put a few in.

I know these are stats everybody uses but I always wonder why the score in a game in 2000 has any bearing in 2009???

Last game, in Minny, 5-2 LA..........that seems to be more important than any other game in the past.

You may be surprised to hear it, but I agree with you: most of the "trends" people come up with are meaningless. It's a common error to mistake coincidence for an independent variable. I mention the 2 trends regarding face to face games because I think there might be something there regarding the matchup between these teams, especially with regards to the most recent games, that my hockey eye doesn't see. Minny and Detroit is a good example: the Wild (almost) always play the Red Wings tight even though they're greatly over matched on paper.
