Good Morning,
Let us start with the numbers shall we? After reading last week’s thread (after the games concluded !!) I realized there are many of you guys who all seem to think that this thing that we all do is based upon “luck”. I don’t think so. I believe that by reading between the millions of lines of numbers that there is a picture to be painted right before your very own eyes. Understanding which numbers matter and where and when to use which of those numbers is what distinguishes one artist from the next. I can tell you this for certain. There are many talented artists amongst us but not all of them will create a work of art this season. There will be one or two who get hot and paint a masterpiece over the course of the season. That is a fact. I hope that it is going to be me.
Dallas Cowboys -1 (-105) $700
I know many that will jump on San Francisco like stink on shit simply because you have a pretty good team posted as a live home dog. I say not so fast my friend. I understand that home dogs are a force to reckon with but we have many other factors to consider. San Francisco is fresh off a divisional ass whipping delivered by Seattle and faces Arizona next week. Any team in a divisional sandwich coming off of a loss is a definite sign of a team that will be looking ahead. This is not a good spot San Francisco. Call it what you want but it is circumstantial and I will use it to find an edge. Dallas is coming off a nice win in Chicago with all of the momentum in their favor and nothing to focus on other than San Francisco. Dallas does not even have a divisional game for near 30 days from now. Some say that Dallas has an inferior D pass game. That is an opinion. I say SF has only 1 receiver who averages 3 or more cpg @ 10.3 ypc. That is a fact. Dallas has three or more.
This what Dallas Receivers look like:
Cole Beasley 6-7 catches per game avg 10.7 ypc
Jason Witten 4-5 CPG avg 10.1 ypc
Dez Bryant 3-4 CPG avg 13,6 ypc
Terrence Williams 2-3 cpg avg 17.4 ypc
Dallas opened at -3 at most shops and dropped from the key number down to -1 which is where it is currently setting. Is this an overreaction to the announcement of Dez ? Of course it is. The interesting part of that is that 60% of the money is on Dallas yet the we have RLM. Im not worried about that even a little bit. Dez is not the even the leading the receiver for the Cowboys. He has 11 receptions for 150 yards through 3 games. Now if Beasley were out then it would be a different story. Beasley has almost the exact same numbers as Larry Fitzgerald thus far. Big name goes down line goes down and in my opinion that is unjustified.
SF has posted a DPR of: 91.3 and 111.8 over the last two weeks. Now I am not too sure what you know about the Value of DPR but those numbers are very ugly especially when the Red Hot Dak Prescott is coming to town with his stable of horses. Let me put it like this. Up until last Sunday night Prescott had thrown 93 passes with zero INT’s and Zero touchdowns. During the 3[SUP]rd Q[/SUP] Prescott recorded his first NFL TD. Now let me tell it to you like this. To Prescott being a rookie and the starting QB for the Dallas Freaking Cowboys recording his first passing TD is similar to what Steven Tyler’s Daddy told him, “ you ain't seen nuttin 'Till you're down on a muffin”……no no no…. that is not a good comparison. How about Michael Vicks pit bulls getting that first taste of blood. Ya…..I like it and it paints a pretty picture.
Indianapolis Colts -1 (+102) $700
Minnesota Vikings -4 $700
Detroit lions -3 $700
