Atl team total over 4.5 -142
Ortiz/Smoltz
I've been fading Ortiz all year and doing well. However he had a good game a couple games ago. But that was his only good as opponents have gone over 4.5 runs in the other 5 games he has pitched in. Atlanta returns home after a long road trip where they hit the ball well.

SD -121 over Cubs
Williams/Guzman
I usually like to stay away from teams that go on the road after a long home stand, especially when they play a team that has been on a road team and is playing their first game at home. But these 2 teams are just going in the opposite direction. SD is 9-1 in their last 10 and the Cubs are 1-9. Williams is a better pitcher than Guzman.

It's always possible Terminator. But one has to plan for the long-run, not just one bad game. The Braves have gone over this mark 5 out of their last 6 games.

KC team total under 4 -107
Hernandez/Bedard
KC is 0-8 against LHP. They have only scored 18 runs in those 8 games for a 2.25 rpg average. Their previous 10 games saw them go under this mark 7 times.

I've had 3 Carlsbergs tonight and I'm starting to look twice at the KC under 4 team total and starting to think it should be my 2-unit play. I also had the same thoughts about the Atlanta team total. It's to the point where I'm starting to second-guess myself on these things.

If there is such a thing as exercising control after having 3 beers I hope I can do it now. I'm not going to step out and make any of these games a 2-unit play. Let's see how they turn out. That could have a bearing on how I make my choices in the future.

I go 2-1 as the KC total goes over. My man Ortiz comes through by giving up the runs to Atl and SD beats the Cubs. None of these were 2-unit plays though. I'm glad I didn't make KC a 2-unit play. One should never gamble when under the influence.
