Dam I hate a push as much as a loss. Tonights Ohio Temple game was absolutely brutal with the missed FG by Temple then the fumble by Ohio followed by a 3rd down desperation TD throw by Temple. Temple hadn't done a thing all game. I had Ohio +4 -105 and actually paused for about 10 seconds thinking about whether to buy up to +4.5 for -115. I though what are the chances it will matter and kept the 4. Then the refs call at the end that it wasn't a catch. No way on earth was that indisputable evidence that the ball hit the dirt. It was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen in my life for both teams. Those were the worst refs I've ever seen.

Pushes hurt as bad as losses for me, especially like this. I've said this to myself once before but now I mean it, I will never not buy off 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 14, 17, 20, 21, etc. again. I will buy off the key number every time, especially when its only 10c extra.

Punishing. :smoking:

You have little chance of winning long-term without buying. But you have no chance to win long-term by buying.

I play select games Illini. I'm trying to rollover right now to get a quick payout so I'm playing more than I usually do, but usually when I bet a game its a rare thing and I go for the win. Less games, more winners.

By the way do pushes usually count towards a rollover?

I hear ya. I'm no sharp, so the only chance I have of winning is being very selective. But you are much better off in the long run by getting the best number and not paying the extra juice. The vig will kill ya in the long run.

Yes, pushes count towards rollover. If this doesn't, then find a new book. Where are you playing?

You have a reason to be pissed about pushing with Ohio. Anyone with Temple should be thrilled.

That game was pure garbage

Torture krk. Plus Ohio had the ball 3 times in FG range and only ended up attempting 1. Solich is a bad coach man. He should have known that with a 10 point lead and with how Temple was playing offense, 3 points would have been gravy. Two pass plays instead of just running it though. Intentional grounding taking them out of FG range and an incomplete pass leaving them with a potential 49 yard FG attempt so they punted instead. 5 more yards and you kick the FG every time. Then the blunder on the hold. So I guess they never attempted a FG after the first they made. I kept saying just 3 more points! Thats all we need! Even when the game was still in the 3rd quarter I knew 3 points would do it. Not to be.

Illini I'm playing at a couple of places now. Both A+ books so I'm pretty sure the push counts.

Buying points anytime isnt considered a wise idea mathematically & dont ever buy points in college football.

Despit this I will occasionally buy a .5 in the NFL at the key numbers. I tracked this one season a few years ago and it was pretty much a wash after the season. The difference was only a few bucks.

You'll do worse buying all those numbers.

NFL 7 is one I can see.

In the NFL (just NFL) I know guys (and myself) who will pay -130 for -2.5 and +3.5 and -120 for -6.5 and +7.5.

Other than that I dont buy points or watch the games. Try the latter, makes things easier. Just a scoreboard check throrughout the night is it, makes life simpler.

Try watching the games that you don't have money on for some insight.

I am one of the fortunate one I guess, being able to play at Pinnacle. Selling a half or point on CERTAIN games is a nice built in bonus there IMO.
