Looking to take Purdue tonight. Not sure if I should take them money line, lay the 2 points or tease them 5 points to get to +3, but I can't decide what the other half of that teaser would be. None of the over/under are posted yet with the site I use. I already bet on Iowa +8 so not sure if I want to put more eggs in that basket.

Help? :sad3:

Teasing is a losing bet in college basketball IMO. Laying just 2 points there is only one way you can lose the bet if they don't win (1 point Purdue win) that being said the extra juice is not worth it.

Yeah, I guess I should suck it up and go with my original intentions (and homedawgs advice) and just lay the two points.

It's just every game has been so close I just having a feeling every point might count in this one. Feels like a nail bitter coming down to the wire tonight. On the other hand it is silly to lay all of that extra juice for one point.

Thanks for the advice though I do appreciate everyone's help.

no ml. no tease. both losing propositions in the long run. just lay the -2. it's not that bad

Line moved slightly to -2 -105 now. Think that it will be best to wait until closer to game time?

I feel like Purdue would have gotten murdered by Oklahoma had they not shot 13-23 from 3. Duke is the best coached team in the nation and can gaurd the permiter well. I feel like Duke isn't as good as the name implies but I don't think this isn't one that they lose.

Well I couldn't muster the 2 points and am going with Purdue money line. Got it at -120 which isn't horrible I guess. I am with you on Purdue homedawg and I appreciate the plays. Thanks for all of the advice. BOL to all tonight.

you have to remember that Purdue guards the perimeter just as good if not better. Plus that is Duke strength shooting the 3. While Purdue relies on it they have a more diverse offense. They also have stronger post presences, and the one factor that will decide the game HOME COURT ADVANTAGE.

home court in cbb is the most decisive advantage you will find in all of sports. Home court means everything in games such as these. I have said it plenty of times. Not just b/c of the momentum and adrenaline that is gained from screaming fans, but home teams always shoot at a higher % at home. The familiarity with shooting on the rims, background, depth perception, etc, etc, means everything. Teams like Duke that can't score easily down low, that rely on jump shots are hard to count on coming through on the road for the factors I listed above. I think tonight will be a prime example of just how important home court advantage is in cbb. I have made my money betting home dogs, or home teams in general in this sport over the years. I know for a fact that there is a huge advantage to playing at home and wagering on home teams. I don't think Purdue is getting credit for just how good they really are. This team has far less holes than Duke, and playing at home is icing on the cake.

Homedawg made some very good points as to why you should take Purdue tonight.

Also, never and I mean never tease College basketball games, it is so easy for them to get beat. It really is a dumb play.

I agree homecout is huge in college basketball. However, Duke is the most well coached teams in the country and have played in places much louder then it will be tonight. Purdue will definitley be LOUD tonight but this is a team that has to go to UNC in that rivalry game and they won't back down.

I think the difference tonight is Coach K coaching vs a young team.

Good luck with your play HD im heading to the bar to watch tonights games. Should be a fun night for CBB.

I haven't done it yet, but I have never heard anyone say anything good about it. Probably just wishful thinking the line was better. Seemed like a huge risk for little reward. Thanks for the post.
