Grounder hit to Pujols to his right...he moves over, gobbles it up and instead of throwing it, since he was in a crouch position he soft underhand tossed it to the 2nd baseman who got pulled off the bag

should have been 2 outs...instead bases loaded and then a sac fly...

then a 2 run double....

(in other words 3 runs scored on that error)

Sometimes I wonder. I had the Cards I believe it was last Thurs against the Brewers. He sits Edmunds and Walker against a lefty which happens. But top of the 8th Cards get runners on down by 2 and he lets the bottom of the order hit without pinch hitting his big guns. The announcers comment how La Russa is sending the message to his bench players who were getting to play that day that he believed in them that's why he was keeping them in. One of the guys was Lunar. He believed in him so much he sent him down to AAA 2 days later.

thats why he rarely wins in the postseason. i cant figure out some of these guys...its not brain surgery! what player or manager doesnt do what i stated above. yesterday i noticed how booby cox owns larussa head to head. says something right there imo.

one thing to note so far this year the cards team batting avg been way down...they had a hot stretch where they played some bad teams/bad pitchers...they will come around, but they are not going to match last years efforts bc the nl is way better this year. nl was a joke last year.
