i don't know of any that will actually give the % of the books hold for one side or the other. Most if not all books consider their "hold" to be secret.
i'm not positive but Covers just uses what people are clicking for the wagerline contests, not actual real money being placed.
And Vegas Insider uses the trends that are posted from Sportsbook dot com, which is also what is used on Sports dot com.
Carib has a trend for their games up until they go off the board, but i'm skeptical of theirs cause i've seen home favs in the NHL not even have 5% on them , and the same for other home favs sometimes.
Sports insights, i was always under the impression that they were getting feeds from the list of books that they show, but when you read in the fine print in the site(you have to dig for it), they sound like they are using the same numbers from Sportsbook and Carib and the few others that post trends.
Pregame has sportsbookspy, used to have its own site and looked just like Sports Insights, now it's on the Pregame website.
it's just really hard to know whether these trends are accurate or not. you don't know if out of 12,830 bets placed on a match-up , that the 78% going one way are a bunch of $5-100 wagers and maybe on the 22% side there are some whales throwing down $1000-50,000.
sometimes you can notice a RLM(reverse line movement), you'll notice a side or total having say 84% of the action, yet the line will be moving in it's favor. like Team A might be -6 but have over 85% on them and are now -5.5, or an over might be 199 and have 78% on it yet drop to 197.5.
Is that cause there is some whales somewhere in he betting world throwing down on the other side, or are the books just messing with everyone?
I've never understood that if a line is set to draw equal action from both sides, and one or two books somewhere in the betting world get hit with some big wagers on a game, then why does all the other books follow the move. If they are still getting even action, or hell they might even a been having more action on the other side, then why do they need to move?
