Now that the cupcakes are gone and it's time to lose in the Big 10, Is it time for Paterno to call it quits.......

I think we all know the answer to that question.

While I agree with you, with what he's done there over the past 40 years and what he's given back to the University, only one person will make the decision when it's time and that's Joe himself.

Very true. Let's face it-Joe Paterno IS Penn State football. Sometimes people deserve to keep their job until THEY decide that it's time to quit.

Regardless, isn't he damn near 80 years old? Geez, retire & enjoy life (but it's obvious what he enjoys doing)

i hope he stays 10 more years. i made a lot of money betting against papa joe the last couple of years. do you know what mich, ohio. st, mich. st, ect will do when they see films of this qb? there is no way this guy is a qb. he is the best athlete on the team but no qb. i just dont want northwestern to blow them out. i dont want anyone to know what i know about this team. the bookies are smiling again today because everybody was on penn st.

Unfortunately, football is all he knows. Like Woody Hayes and Bear Bryant, he will die soon after he retires.

I just think he wants to go out on top. And he deserves the chance. He recruited some great players this past and this team is a QB away from being a real threat. Unfortunately joepa insists upon leaving robinson in. Maybe he knows something about morrelli that the rest of us don't.

I think if they play in a new years bowl and win the game, he will be gone.

Bottomline: No way a man at his age has the stamina and energy of a man in his 30's or 40's. :increible

He won't call it quits until he leaves on his own accord. The ONLY person I could conceive coming in after Joe (and who WANTS to follow a legend...i.e. Tom Osborne and Nebraska?) is Kirk Ferentz.

Kirk isn't leaving Iowa anytime soon...so keep on keepin' on Joe! 4-0 here we go!

Joe pa is 78, Jack mckeon was 73 when he won a world series coaching the marlins through a 162 game schedule and a few more high pressure post season games. Some people have more energy at 78 then some have at 28. Its all relative.

He does have great energy for his age, I don't think any other coach walks the sideline like Joe Paterno.

South Florida is a cupcake? Ask Louisville about that.

Cincy has been pretty good the last few years...in fact they were bowling the last few years when we scheduled them (and we were NOT...PSU and Cincy have been playing each other for awhile).

Central Michigan won outright as what a 26 point dog before playing us?

I don't know...I think our non-conf was pretty good.
