worldwide to voice their contempt for Junior's illegal and unnecessary "oil war." America is the most hated nation on earth and deserves such recognition but I am still confident that the American people are and will awaken to the evil that Junior and his gang of neocon, draft-dodger, chickenhawks are perpetrating worldwide!
Evil prevails, when good people do nothing.

You liberals need to get over your self-loathing. The U.S. went over there and disposed of a brutal genocidal maniac leader and are trying, with the Iraqi people, to install a peaceful democratic government in a Middle Eastern country. It's these tyrannical humiliating dictatorships that breed terrorism and fanaticism. We should send more troops over there so we could do the job right.

The die has been cast, now we need to finish the job. Get over it.

BTW...when are they going to put Saddam on trial? Or maybe they're just going to go directly to the execution (just as good).

By bribing the French, Russians and some at the UN, Saddam thought he was buying the ability to ignore UN resolutions. Bad guess on his part.

Thanks for the info Lt. Sham. Now are you ever going to answer John Kerry's charges that Viet Nam vets are war criminals?

He should have bribed the US, like Israel.
Then UN resolutions can be safely ignored.

He had no problems in the 80's when he was a US butt-buddy.

Worldwide protests in pictures.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/3553011.stm

Atlanta
Caracas
Santiago
Rome (300,000 apparently)
Bern (Swiss capital)
Rio
London
Glasgow
Ankara
Manila
Srinagar (India)
Hong Kong

The Spanish city of Madrid, still reeling from the 11 March bomb attacks, saw around 100,000 protesters marching through the city, waving banners and chanting "No to the war".

In Barcelona, organisers said up to 200,000 marchers took part in a protest, many carrying an enormous "Peace" sign.

Outstanding George, outstanding.

Of course they're taking to the streets. What else can they do?

I really don't give a shit what they're doing in Madrid. Please don't give me any more updates on what that weak culture is doing. I just hope they don't ask the U.S. for help when they get more terrorist attacks. They are a weak people.

A protest against that war is a vote for Saddam Hussein, a vote for gassing Iraqis,a vote for paying families of suicide bombers $25,000 to kill Israelis.

The protests are a fraction of the marches prior to the war. No one gives a shit; if the radical left had any widespread support in this country it would have shown up in the 2002 elections. The ability to organize the brain-dead doesn't mean the majority support your actions: it simply means your followers have little else to do in their spare time. Much like the nuclear freeze movement in the 1980's, these protests are a nice exercise in futility.

I just wish the left had some better looking women around; listening to long-haired 60 year old hippies explain imperialism to bulldog dykes is quite dull without having some T&A tossed into the mix. If you want to create some momentum for a world-wide movement, have some respectable personal explain the agenda. The chronically unemployed fail the persuasion test.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm still waiting for our so-called free oil that we're pillaging from Iraq's reserves.

B: You should attend one of the anti-war rallies we have here in Florida. Most are on college campuses and the a$$ factor is rather high.

As opposed to a bunch of Ann Coulter types in stiff, starched blue suits. They've got all the right equipment, but you just KNOW that when you get down Under, that it's going to be like Frosty the fukkin' Snowman. (Think Faye Dunaway in NETWORK)...

"Evil prevails when good men do nothing."

I agree with you 100%. I think the people of Iraq do too, and are glad good men are doing something.

I agree with you 100%. Its a shame that the Democrats voted just about purely on party lines in the impeachment vote when a sitting president was found guilty of lying in a court of law, breaking the laws of our country he was sworn to uphold. Certainly no surprise, but when you don't have the cojones to impeach your own lying moron, don't raise a hue and cry if you don't like the next guys lack of truth.

I agree with you 100%. Its a shame that Kerry doesn't, that whatever the people want to hear is what Kerry wants to say. Edwards would have been a fine candidate, I was actually leaning towards him myself. And he seemed electable, according to the polls. Instead, lets keep the see-sawing rich hypocrite as the nominee though.

The Democrats and the left are generally more likely to do nothing. Give the Republicans some credit for that at least...even if they sometimes go about it the wrong way, they don't just sit and wring their hands.

getting a little tired of the old "oil war" saw.....

if you can think of a better reason to do anything, including go to war, please post it...

if one of these pathetic middle eastern dictators or terrorists ever gets his hands on nuclear technology and/or weapons, life as we know may come to a screeching halt...

if saddam`s osirak nuclear plant(french provided and built, btw)not been bombed out of existence in the early "80`s" by israel,he would probably have had nuclear weapons when he went into kuwait....which means,he either still has kuwait to this day,or,we roll the dice and maybe start a nuclear conflagration in the middle east...those scuds he lobbed into israel while we were extricating him from kuwait could have easily been nukes....he would have liked nothing better than to start a holy war vs the israelis.....it`s what he wanted to do...he stated as much...

well, israel either gets obliterated or retaliates...then the whole middle east is engulfed in an all out conflict that more than likely seriously impairs a good portion of the world`s oil supply and obviously causes tremendous hardship and possibly ww3....and that hardship would be felt in the u.s. as badly as anywhere in the world...

this country doesn`t work without oil...i know we get oil from venezuela and canada....but,the middle east is the hub....

i can`t think of a better reason to go to war....i like driving to work....i like having heat in wintertime.....i`m not interested in seeing our economy collapse...

there is no better reason....
