First I would like to say that I think it is strange that this is always brought up around election time as I tend to think there are more important issues to deal with. I am personally against abortion but I am not sure if it is my place to push my beliefs on someone else.

I was wondering where people stand on this position and Why?

I saw someone saying an embryo is not a living thing so when does the fetus become a baby in your opinion?

And my final question would be if you are for abortion do you have any children of your own?

Pro choice! Its up to the girl I say because who's to tell another women she should or should have a baby? Remember, more people have died in the name of religeon than anything else. What if a women gets raped and gets knocked up? Should she be forced to have that kid and bring it in this world without a true daddy??

I am against abortion. However, I am against the government getting involved in a women's decision even more.

i am "pro-life" but do not feel it's the government's position to tell people what to do. if folks cannot figure out that this is murder i feel sorry for them, but i have no interest in debating it

i do find it rather disgusting that every pro-abortion person goes to the "rape" card, like that is the major reason for the % of abortions performed. fn ridiculous

So you call an abortion of a tiny cell "murder" yet 4,000 New Yorkers and 100,000 Iraqi civilians dying is NOT MURDER by GW??? Typical Old fashioned Fart!!:ohno:

Holy crap, can you imagine that? 8 abortions at once? Talk about a busy day at the clinic.

Imagine meeting your dead baby quota before lunch. I bet they'd spend the rest of the day celebrating.

Good thing for her that her family did not slip her a mickey and drive her ASAP to the Dr Bar-vorkian Family Planning Clinic

That's more common among the true pro-choice Americans who agree that the pregnant woman is the final arbiter with regard to whether the embryo or fetus is carried to term.

For those of us who are in fact "pro-abortion", it's of little concern why the pregnant woman chooses to terminate an unwanted embryo or fetus. If she has any doubts that she will responsibly take care of the future baby, she is likely wise to get the pregnancy terminated ASAP

pretty solid nutter argument...somehow compare abortion of a "tiny cell" (ie: vacuum a fetus) to New Yorkers and Iraqi civilians dying by president #43, who I'm about as big of a fan of as I am of you.

serious, PPP, you are way out of your element and overmatched in this section of the forum. GL with your baseball picks...try another time.

barman, like i said, I have no interest in debating this subject. The federal courts have ruled that they have jurisdiction, so be it.

My personal opinion is that neither the federal courts, nor the government, should make decisions over people's lives concerning "morality". If you want to suck out a child from your womb, be my guest, it's just not the government's responsibility to say what is "legal".

When it comes to social issues I just don't want govt intervention. Fuck who you want, smoke what you want, abort what you want, I really could care less...but do it on my property or disturb me in any way, and I'll deal with it accordingly.

With girls under 14 or so most of the times its incest so you do not have to worry about the above.

Those that are against abortion obviously have never gotten a frantic 3am call from a Kansas City Stripper...

Good news is that at least 80% of abortions occur before the fetal state. They're just embryos. Most don't even need to be extracted, they can simply be terminated and the woman will expel it naturally

KB, next time you find yourself pregnant and unsure if you can pull the trigger, call me and I'll talk you through the emotional part
