Remember the days when casinos gave away rooms and meals to attract gamblers?
Herbst Gaming, which is close to bankruptcy, is resurrecting a bygone tradition by offering locals a free one-night stay at any one of its three Primm hotels, two complimentary passes to amusement rides and two free tickets to a burlesque cabaret at Whiskey Pete's.
Call it the Red Light Recession Special.
The offer, which begins on Wednesday, is available through Dec. 31 at www.primmspecials.com.
Herbst began giving away tickets to arena shows at Primm during the summer.
For non-locals, rooms at its Buffalo Bill's, Whiskey Pete's and Primm Valley Resort casinos can now be had for less than $30 Monday through Thursday.
