Some of these shops should have a new level of pricing something like this

Internet only: $18
Call in and internet $25
Call in and speak to a "good ole boy" not a paco or a carlos $30.

they need a higher level of clerk that knows how to negotiate with middlers, knows how to accept a bet that not on his screen.

Somebody that may even be just set up to manage a few upper tear customers. So that he knows enough to "book to faces"

I could go on a lot more vacations if one of these pph shops could do this.

Can anyone relate to what I'm saying? No offence intended on the paco and carlos thing, just trying to make a point

These shops don't care about the agents...they know they are getting paid no matter what...that's why they try to steer them to the internet....I would suggest you keep your high end customers and book them yourself, just a thought....and I realize it may be a catch 22 for you...

Any agent who hangs a hard-core middler/scalper at a pph deserves what they get. SHOULDN'T BE DONE. Many agents come aboard because they want the control of changing their own lines........after a week, they never touch the lines and leave them on auto.

That's exactly why we left IDS and found our own situation. Most of these shops don't care. They are factories and most guys are small fish in a large pond. We corrected all our problems buy being on top of things ourselves and we look after each and everyone's business that is with us. :103631605

You're exaclty right. The vast majority of my guys call my office direct. As far as them not caring about the agent I'll take it a step further and this may be a bit of a conspiracy theory.

I think at times they will manipulate numbers to get more action or more players in action in a week.

I know for a fact they will purposely hold over certain sunday bets (golf, nascar,) and have it graded on monday so that it counts in the next week.

You should call if something that is final is not graded. That's just laziness.

Hey Stinky, this is what you should do.

Put 5 players in a few different services(all should offer you free trial) and get feed back from all of them. Kind of like buying a new car. Give them all a test drive.

A VIP clerk in a credit shop is a gringo who can spot a steam player from a mile away..

A VIP clerk in a credit shop knows how to get on and off the fone with a guy in a double parked car with the wife screaming..who you speaking to HERBIE??

A VIP clerk understands the mood and attitude of the player he is talking to..

A VIP clerk speaks perfect english..

A VIP clerk comes to work on time..

A VIP clerk understands that when a player asks for a figure you give it the same professional way whether he is up and down..

A VIP clerk doesnt lose a claim..

There are some in the better PPH shops in CR..But like a good maitre D the lines, I am sorry the food in the kitchen better be right..

Yes, but when all is said and done, the VIP clerk still makes around 4.25 an hour...Queposkid, you have been sincerely brainwashed by whoever you work for....please tell me you don't have a human resources department...
In my experiences a good clerk is one that is curteous to the player, gives them what they want, and gives a good readback....

But all successful shops have top-notch personnel...and most of them do not speak perfect English...

I'd like to schedule a debate at the Timeout Tavern at high noon tomorrow:

Quepos Kid vs. Viejo Dinosaur.

Loser leaves the country.

I will be there at around 1:00....and I hope I lose, just gives me a reason to return to Thailand for awhile....

Seriously, there are no VIP clerks out there, according to Queposkid's definition...salary structure makes it almost impossible and there is also the subject called "Tico Time"....and if everyone (including clerks and supervisors) were tested for drugs, there would be openings all over the place...I could give a shit about marijuana, but hard drugs are different...gotta feeling Rap Star wants us both gone....LOL

I know a spot where one of these can make a dime a week.
