yeah for that alone its easier to just find a friend that has it and ask him to buy the stuff

on the other hand, every time I compare a price in pricesmart versus automercado the differences are huge (of course automercado is expensive.......but I can get everything I want there...so its convenient)

Auto Mercado kicks ass, great shopping experience (more so than a lot of American grocery stores)...

Price Smart rules for imported stuff though, especially electronics and alcohol.

Automercado (AM) isn't really expensive. Actually I've found Mas X Menos to be quite a bit more expensive then AM on identical products.

well now THAT blows since Mas X Menos is of course geared towards middle income customers

But for instance, a box of Cheer detergent (I know I know! why buy @#$@#$# imported detergent?? ) in Automercado 14000 colones , in Pricesmart 10k.

dog food bag (the big one , Purina Dog Chow) don't recall the details but price difference was also significant

Thats why my policy is 'first Pricesmart and whatever else I need , at automercado
