so we did an 8 man league tonight - $50 each.
Most of us are in other leagues - so we decided everyone had to do this using no sheets/books - which was kind of fun (especially since some folks snuck down farther if people forgot about them)

Start 2 QB, 3 WR, 3 RB, TE, K, D

Only mistake I might regreat is that I had a shot to take Brees in the 2nd (instead of Portis) which would have given me a great top tier QB/RB/WR combo.

I had pick 1 and it snakes and here is my order:
LT
Portis
Owens
D. Anderson
Ryan Grant (5th round!)
Holt
K. Warner
T. Gonzalez
G. Jennings
A. Rodgers
L. Maroney
Kevin Smith
Burleson
V. Jackson
Gostowski
DeSean Jackson
JeMarcus Russell
NE Def

So my starting lineup is:
Anderson/Warner
LT/Portis/Grant
Owens/Holt/Jennings

I think that is pretty decent, maybe?

Like I said - maybe only regret is not grabbing Brees.

Either way - this was kind of a fun way to do a draft

If I had a dollar for everytime I heard some dude say "I love my fantasy team" I'd be...well, it' would make up for the money Sportsbook.com hasn't paid me yet.

It's a fantasy team. I'd hope you like the son'bitch.

First off, taking Brees in the 2nd round of an 8-team league would have been an absolutely horrible idea. You made the right move and should have no regrets.

QB: D+

Lots of question marks. Anderson has Quinn, Warner has Leinhart, Rodgers has never started before, and Russell has no business being on a team in an 8-team league.

RB: A-

LT and Portis are great, Grant should do well, and Maroney will have a nice year. Very nice unit.

WR: B-

Three good fantasy WRs but Holt is getting older and Jennings has a new QB so you have some question marks again here.

TE: B

Tony G is always solid.

Overall: B

If you find a reliable quarterback you should have a very nice season. You just have a lot of things that could go wrong with this team but the talent level is there to challenge for the league title.

You would only rate LT, Portis, Grant and Maroney an A-? Do you have to have LT, Jackson and Peterson for an A+? That's one of the best RB combo's I've seen this year, even if it is an 8 man draft. Great WR's and a great TE. Of coarse every team will look good though because it's an 8 man team, but I think you could easily have 4 top 15 RB's, 3 of them top 10 and LT and Portis are top 5.

Great team, just shaky QB's. I would never draft Brees in the second round though. If Brady, Manning and Romo are gone you can wait a while because those three are far above the next group of QB's.

It's an 8-team league... stacked RBs like those aren't that rare in such a small league. Hard to give a better rating unless it blows me away.
