I don't want to get on anyone's bad side for posting any other forum sites. Sorry. I really like this forum a lot and the cappers in here, but the inconsistency gets old when there are other sites that don't have that problem. Before all of the technical problems, this was the only site I posted at, but the last month or so has been really frustrating and has made me look elsewhere for a site with less or no problems at all. It only makes sense..right?
I will still post here and have this forum as a priority as long as it's up, but now I have a back up. That's all. Just use the internet to find another forum if interested. That's all I can say about that.

LET ME JUST SAY WHEN YOUR THE BEST PEOPLE GO AFTER YOU. IF YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ ON OTHR FORUMS, THIS WAS ANOTHER DOS ATTACK. I DO NOT KNOW THAT BUT WILL ASSUME IT IS TRUE. LAST WEEK WHEN THERE WERE ATTACKS ANOTHER OF THE MAJOR FORUMS WERE DOWN (MW).
THE LARGER FORUMS ARE ABLE TO GET INFO OUT TO PEOPLE SUCH AS NUMBER'S TO CALL IN BET'S IF YOUR SITE IS DOWN. THAT'S WHY THEY TRY TO GO AFTER ONE OF THE MOST VEIWED SITES OF IT'S KIND ON THE WEB.

G. MONEY....I hear ya, and the only reason I started this thread is because I like the site. It's not so much cutting them slack--hell, I don't know anything about this stuff, I don't even know what "DOS attacks" are. It's just that the reality is that if the site is always down--particularly at the worst times--people will look elsewhere. The Shrink & his site are terrific.
i concur with rss -- this is getting VERY OLD!!! i too have found other forums, and i see SEVERAL guys from this forum. it's just sensless.
my heart belongs here -- the rx is one of the originals! however, this happens FAR TOO OFTEN!!! it does not happen at the other sites, i have NEVER had a problem, and have frequently had the problem here????
and is it a coincedence that it always seems to happen at inopportune times -- opening football, ncaa opening weekend???
things NEED TO CHANGE HERE, to brush it off as a DOS attack is getting redundant. take measures to prevent it; keep the integrity that this forum was founded on!!!

You guys are silly. The reason this forum gets hit is precisely because so many people come here and so many that are here do things to speak out against the DOS attacks against books. Go to a site with 5% of the traffic and you are pretty certain not to have DOS issues. If another site ever did get the traffic this place does, rest assured the DOS bandits would hit it. Its frustrating to everyone that gets hit by attacks, but the solutions out there are expensive and they don't always last that long. If even Microsoft and Yahoo can get hit by DOS attacks, surely the Rx will always be vulnerable. Sad, but true.
you are probably right with most of the sites, however, i know of one site that has comparable traffic, yet seems immune to this problem. and i think the likes of microsoft and yahoo are a much more appetizing target than a little gambling site for all us with a little problem (drinking problem that is
