wish I had read ur post before I left because the Green card is wha I have and its useless. Can not use it. once I get my card in the mail will I be able to at least use it at ATMs so I can get my money back? or do I have to use it on purchases?

SOLUTION FOR THE GREEN DOT.

Call the 800 number and get your card #, exp date and the 3 digit code at the back. They will give it to you over the phone.

Then use it to send a Western Union online. Go to the Western Union online fees calculator to find the correct amount to send so that the fees take up the rest of the balance. I had a $5 card which I used to send $4.57 (with $0.43 in fees).

Worst case scenario ... use the green dot to send money to your next door neighbor ... drive him the WU outlet, buy him a cup of coffee and get the money
