I've thought about only putting down the matches that I was really sure of, but then I wouldn't learn by making mistakes with those matches I'm not so sure of. So I think I'll start putting a star by the matches I really like.

I have dreams about these matches on Friday night since they are usually done or finishing up when I wake up in the morning. I had a dream that Fulham beat Arsenal 3-2. :)

Man City/Arsenal over 2.5 -133 (*)
Here we go again. Arsenal has scored 21 goals in 6 games and the line is at 2.5??? OK, so it's a bit devalued at -133. This is a preliminary price which I will be updating later when I find one better. The over 2.5 is definite however.

Man Utd./Tottenham under 2.5 -105 (*)
Here is another line I can't understand. Tottenham has scored 4 goals in 6 matches while only giving up a total of 2! Man Utd. has scored 7 goals in 6 matches and given up 6. I won with Tottenham last weekend on the under when they tied Chelsea 0-0.

Bolton -0.5 +102 over Birmingham (*)
Bolton has been playing well tying Arsenal and Man Utd. in their last 2 and winning 3 out of the 4 previous to that and will be playing at home.

Now for the non-starred matches:

Southampton/Fulham over 2 and 2.5 -105
These are 2 of the most porous defenses in the league while still being able to score.

Arsenal -0.5 and 1 -111 over Man City
Arsenal has played well even on the road. They should win by at least a goal.

Everton pk and +0.5 -104 over Portsmouth
Everton should be the favorite here in my opinion. I believe Portsmouth is being given the nod here because they won twice and drew once at home. A closer look will reveal that the two wins were against Crystal Palace and Fulham and the draw was with Birmingham. This could be elevated to a * pick later in the week for me.

Maybe more later.

Arsenal/Man City total is now at 2.5 -149 so I'll have to suck it up and bet it at that number.

I like your Everton play, but I'm gunshy because Pompey burned me already this year at home.

How about Liverpool -250 v. Norwich & Newcastle -220 v. West Brom. ? I'm not usually a chalk player but that seems too easy. Trap maybe?

I know what you mean about being gun-shy on a team. I bet twice against Liverpool and lost and then bet once for them and lost so I am laying off betting on/against them.

The thing that concerns me about this much chalk in soccer is that a draw loses. I am relatively new to soccer betting so I have yet to explore the big chalk bets. If I were to bet a chalk bet like this it would definitely be on Aston against Crystal at -275.

Let me know what you decide and good luck.

Villa's definitely strong this year, but I'm sticking with my small parlay with Newcastle & Liverpool which pays about even money.

Good luck on your action!

Congrats booze on winning your parlay.

Preliminary results:

Arsenal 1, Man City 0 (loss on the total, 1/2 win and 1/2 draw on the side)
Arsenal continues to surprise me finishing 1-0 the same as they did in the Champions League match.

Fulham 1, Southampton 0 (loss)

Man Utd. 1, Tottenham 0 (win)

-0.60 units

Dundee FC – Glasgow Rangers

5. Glasgow Rangers 6 3 2 1 9:2 11

This is an interesting game with a nice odd on Glasgow Rangers. Rangers have this year so far a 0-2-1 record on road. But I think they should now win against Dundee FC. Dundee FC is the worst home team of the League – they have a record of 0-1-2 with 1:3 goals. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Glasgow won 5 of the last 6 matches against Dundee (5-1) and they have scored 17 goals and got 4 goals. Last season they won both games in Dundee with 4:0 and 3:1. I think for this Odd I will bet on Glasgow Rangers.

:messed: :hihi
