This guy was making decent money. Was that his home in the profile picture. He supposedly took many trips to Las Vegas and stayed at the Wynn. Reportedly he didn't gamble much but loved Las Vegas. They claimed he liked the wild parties. What that says to me is he was having several girls up up to his room. If they are hanging around in Wynn they don't come cheaply. The girls there aren't the usual addicts on the street. Probably pulling down $700-$1000 a trick. Maybe he was running out of money and when UNLV didn't hire him it set him off. There is usually some indication that would show up in this guy's past that led to this. Paddock was accumulating weapons for years before the mass shooting. He was scoping out other venues around the country before he decided on Las Vegas. Was a semi-advantage player who played video poker with a correct strategy and was getting free play offers and comps that exceeded what he lost on the machines. Once they figured out they couldn't make any money on him they started to cut back his offers. This led to his resentment as his accumulated wealth started to decline rapidly. So maybe money woes was a factor in both shooters.
