Interesting.... Co-owner not going to be at The Preakness......

http://ctba.com/martins-to-skip-preakness/

VERY INTERESTING..... especially

1. Short time span between this race and Kentucky Derby win.

2. "Plane fare is not in our budget" ... but they just won the Kentucky Derby. Now they are not coming ( ? )

3. IF it is true that C C has 4 whitish hoofs, I am treating that as a warning sign. Standardbred harness race horses with "white socks" have a higher rate of getting leg/foot issues during racing than the horses with no "white socks". ... maybe this is why the trainer is "worried" about the short turn around. ... I have NO scientific proof on "white socks" coloring - just over the years listening to a harness horse trainer and the care he needed to give to those horses. ....... Feeling the same would apply to thoroughbred race horses especially since they "carry" the weigh, not pull the weight.

4. Post 3 for CC means all the speed horses are starting to his right....... C C is going to have to stay out of traffic trouble. Not liking the idea of Calvin Borel riding in the race either. Thinking he is out to prove something since he was removed from Ride On Curlin or create interference..

Found the info on my earlier post ( #2 ) Number 3 above.//////

“All horses with four white feet are prone to needing more care because of the lack of pigmentation. The hoofs can be shellier,” Sherman said this weekend at Los Alamitos, where he is overseeing his local stable before heading to Pimlico this week for the Preakness Stakes. “It takes more effort to keep them in shape.
“We’re always working on his feet. Horses with white hooves, they have a tendency to have problems if you don’t keep up with them.”

Calif. Chrome is 3-5 morning line favorite for Saturday's Preakness. Not even Secretariat, Affirmed or Seattle Slew were 3-5

I usually try to beat the favorite. Sometimes that's dumb. It sure might be dumb today.

The horse with the highest Beyer in the race is #8 Social Inclusion. He got it in a romp at Gulfstream before shipping in to Aqueduct for his only third lifetime race, the Grade 1 Wood Memorial. In that race he led into the stretch at 1 1/8, but came up short to run 3rd. I'm gonna give him one more chance.

$1 tri key (total $30.00)
#8 with 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10

1$ tri part wheel (total $30.00)
2,3,7,8,9,10 with 8 with 2,3,7,8,9,10

If Lady Fortune is on my side today, the #8 runs 1st or 2nd and CC runs out. That's when the trifecta prices will soar.

But if CC runs 1st or 2nd I can still win this bet.

GL guys. Love these spring classic days.
