Absolutely.
Two most important steps:
1) Figure out which players are competing for a starting spot. Those guys are likely to play at 100%. The more guys going full steam ahead, the better the team will play.
2) Figure out the QB rotations. These are usually available my searching local newspapers. Figure out which guys are playing what quarters.
Those two steps alone should win you money in the preseason.
Step #3 would be listen to what the coaches have to say and see how likely they are to keep their offense vanilla or how likely they are to open the playbook and let their competing guys go a little harder.
