Cool SportSavant.

To add to this thread, if anyone is looking for a cheap Sunday night for September to allow them to stay until Monday and watch SNF, Sahara is only $45 on their site.

Not a luxury hotel by any means, however not horrible either and also attached to the Monorail so there should be many options to get there from PH.

Getting hotels thru 3rd parties prevent you from being able to get the room comped

Tell the hotel what offer you are receiving and see if they match it

Have you booked Sahara?

Sahara seems not bad for the price, not quite as good a deal as the palms deal but still excellent.

Basically, I will just want to sit by the pool, maybe rent a cabana, and enjoy the sun. Sahara is said to have an "above average" pool.

Sahara is 44$ per night at travelworm.com

Sahara just went through a 100 million dollar renovation

I was also considering Tropicanna becoz apparently they have one of the top 3 pools in vegas, and the rate is only 79$ at hoteldiscount.com.

Is Tropicanna worth 35$ more than Sahara? for the pool? I suppose I could use that 70$ on something better.

bigtex, that is an excellent deal for Orleans when comparing it too what I found on hoteldiscount.com and travelworm.com.

Travelworm had 70$ per night, so that southwest deal is 18$ cheaper.

How is the pool there? anyone stayed there?

If you find a good deal on any website the Orleans, Gold Coast and South Point Hotel will match that price. The advantage to that is that you could get all your RFB comped at checkout based on your play.

SportSavant, The best deal i found is at the Planet Hollywood for $59 a nite for august 15,16,19 or 20th. Plus you get either 2 buffets free or a $40 coffee shop credit. Plus $10 in free slots or a $10 match play.
The same rates apply for the 2 nites before and after the Sept. Bash.

Just to give you an example, if you checked in on the 16th of august you would pay $59 for that thursday and receive the 2 free buffets or $40 coffee shop credit and $10 MP. You would then checkout on friday and get your fri and sat room comped from the RX and then checkin again at PH on monday moring for the same $59 price and claim your bonuses again. You have to allow at least 48 hrs between promotions so it would work out just fine. You would need the promo code and your Aladdin player club card number. If you lost your card you could call the slot club and they would give you the number over the phone. I have done that before to update my address and email and most of the time they are pretty nice about it.

I've stayed at the Orleans. The rooms there are nice, clean and larger than usual kind of like a mini-suite with a little sitting area in addition to the large bedroom. The bathrooms are fairlly spacious and there's a little window in the shower that opens to the outside air. The restaurants at the Orleans are all good and reasonably priced and there's wide variety of options. The Orleans is somewhat away from the Strip, but if you're getting a car that shouldn't be a problem. And if you have one too many, they've got a shuttle that runs back and forth fairly regularly to the Strip. Bill's Gamblin Hall (the old Barbary Coast).
I like the slots at the Orleans. It is a short cab ride to the MGM, NYNY and Mandalay Bay Hotel. There is a Strip bar across the street. Hear that Dante.

SportSavant, I did book Sahara for Sunday, as well as the Palms earlier on that week. Basicly Sunday I was just looking for a cheap bed before flying out Monday. It is refundable too if something better comes along.

Dante as soon as i find out something i will let you know. In the mean time here are some Poolside Developments :

There’s a lot of summer left and new events keep showing up. What we’re seeing is casinos not necessarily throwing parties, but opening their pools to non-guests of the hotel. This is the situation at both the Rio and the Hilton.
“VooDoo Beach” is the open-to-the-public party at the Rio pool and “Cool by the Pool” is the party at the Hilton. Both run seven days a week from 9 am to 6 pm and the only admission charge is $10 for men who aren’t guests of the hotel (must be 21 at both). The Hilton deals live blackjack by the pool.
The Flamingo’s “Go Pool” gets going a little later: Mon.-Thurs. from 4 to 7 pm and until closing on Fridays. Men pay $20 unless they’re hotel guests, in which case they pay $10. Go Pool turns into an outdoor nightclub on Fridays at 10 pm with a $20 cover for men.
And at Platinum, “Dine and Unwind” events are free and open to all (no age restriction), taking place from sundown on Friday and Saturday nights at the rooftop pool. Movie screenings and concert videos begin at 8:30 pm. The adjacent restaurant also offers a special four-course prix-fixe menu for $39 per person.

Check this deal out- Can someone say $$$$$LUNCH$$$$$
The Hard Rock is offering the “Rehab Lunch Box” for $1,200. It’s a stainless-steel box that includes a VIP pass for three to the entire 2007 Rehab pool-party season, with no wait or cover charge, along with a logoed ribbed tank top, lip balm, sunscreen, wristband, mirror, luggage tag, and condoms.

According to Restaurant & Institutions magazine, Tao at the Venetian was the U.S.’ number-one top-grossing independent restaurant in 2006, with $55.3 million in revenue. Amazingly, half of that came from alcohol, much of which is sold at the sizzlin’ Tao nightclub.

That's half a Million a week in Alcohol alone.

Scores is the old Jaguars. Which was owned by the owners of Cheetahs. Jaguars got shut down and lost their liquor license and sold it to Scores.
