This spring, Pedro Quezada, above left, won $338 million in the Powerball jackpot drawing. (Cue fanfare.) But the celebration probably didn't last long for the New Jersey man, since he's now being sued by his former girlfriend, who argues that she deserves a share of the winnings because the couple shared an income; they co-owned and ran a grocery store together. Ines Sanchez and Quezada lived together for 10 years, but Sanchez moved out last month. Sanchez' attorney says that because Quezada bought the ticket with money the couple earned together, Sanchez is entitled to share the winnings. But, the couple were never married, which complicates the case. The lawsuit is still pending, but a judge has declined to freeze Quezada's assets to prevent him from spending the winnings. [Source]
