Just can't wait for the season to start. I always try to look for a couple of games that could produce an upset.

I want others opinions on other possible upsets that they see this year.

Some that I like are:

Auburn over LSU at Auburn Sep 18.
No doubt LSU is the better team but they will be breaking in a new QB and this will be the first road game. Auburn was a major disappointment by many last year but they don't have the hype and lofty expectations this year. I think the offense is very good with Carnall Williams/Ronnie Brown and QB Jason Campbell (not the greatest but could have a very good year). Auburn's defense probably won't be as good as last year's especially at the beginning of the season but I think it a potential upset in the making.

Texas A&M over Clemson at Texas A&M Sep 18.
Texas A&M has QB Reggie McNeal who may be just as good as Mizzu's Brad Smith. The game is at College Station and is one of the best home feild advantages in the country. The team sucked last year but do have talented players and return 8 starters on both sides of the ball. Everyone is high on Clemson this year and rightfully so I guess since they finished last year strong but I believe they are one of the most overrated teams in the country. In my opinion they set up just like Auburn last year. They finished the year strong with very impressive wins and have now set back and listened to how good they are (I know they aren't as high as #4 but they are expected to do very good). I think it is a very good opportunity for A&M to step up and win this game.

N.C. State over Ohio St. at NC ST. Sep 18.
Both teams will have new QB's and it will be Ohio St. first road game. NC St. returns 17 total starters along with T.A. McLendon. I think the offense can be good if they give him the ball and let the new guy manage the game. The defense has 9 starters back and could gel into a pretty good unit. Ohio St. only has 9 starters back but always has talent. NC St almost won in Columbus last year and has a good shot this year.

Those are some that I like. Want to know what others think of possible upsets this year.

Without looking at all whos returning at the skill spots, are you convinced Buckeyes will even be favored?

Auburn over Georgia @ Auburn on Nov 13. This will be Georgia's FOURTH straight road game and Auburn is off the week before. The best angle is a revenging, home dog, with rest, and to make it even better is when the visiting team is on their THIRD or more consecutive road game. Keep you eye on this one. At first glance there are 23 situations this college year that have teams having 3 straight road games or playing 5 out of 6 games on the road. GL to us ALL! LT

You are totally right, NC State may be the favorite. I meant to put that in there that it may be the other way around. I think that a lot of people will focus on that Phillip Rivers is gone.

We will have to wait and see how the teams play in the first couple of games but I do think that a lot of people would take Ohio St if they were an underdog.

Ohio St is still picked by most to be 2nd in the Big 10 while NC State is anywhere from 5th to 7th, so I guess that could be an upset, but I don't know if Ohio St. will be favored or not.

Please, no one give Auburn a snowball's chance in hell to win, that's seems to be the only times they ever show up.
No, seriously, they have talent and experience on offense, got a new O-coordinator (has to be more creative than carnell left, carnell right, 4 yard completion, punt. Right?), big question is whether they can step up on defense. They have some talented players who have been backing up multi year starters on that side of the ball, but very little experience. The offense ran all over them in the spring.

But back to the point. I agree, this is an extremely dangerous spot for LSU. As for UGA, it may be too far down the road at this point to call it an upset.

Boy, football can't get here fast enough!

Cincinnati over Ohio State- opener 9-4
Im thinking instate rivalry, UC with the much better QB with Guidugli, former Buckeye DC Dantonio now HC at UC, UC should have beat OSU two yrs ago in Cincy, and Cincy has a lot of starters coming back from a competitve .500 type team
thoughts?
