We need you guys to help define the following question:

"How long of period of time should a book go after a slow-pay history before it is officially considered NOT a slow-pay* book.?"

*assumes there are no further slow-pays

Feel free to post another time frame if you have a different opinion from choices listed.

Of course I don't make the rules but I would appreciate those attending the meeting to refrain from arguing or stating their position until the players have been able to weigh in.

I'd say a minimum of 6 months from last verified slow pay...

I believe if you had 5 years as an option 85% of everyone who votes will be on that time frame. If you have ever been the victim of a books bullshit just to hang on to your money that much longer, IMO most people want to take their money and run out of a book that slow payed them. You know, as I ponder this question I keep thinking it is important to know the reasons for slow pays obviously. There can be many reasons for a slow pay to occur. Not going to say it is right under any circumstance, but it can happen. Buzzsaw, if I call a book today and they say all payments have been made and this is why that it happened and we have repaired this issue, then I think 90 days is very sufficient to see if any further occurrences happen. If the book can go 90 days without a legit slow pay then I see reason to feel good they have fixed the issue.

The General brings up some good points. It is possible that a slow-pay may be due to customer service mistakes. They may offer to rectify the situation and may be honest about the error. It is still a slow-pay.

I think the normal slow-pay that Buzz is talking about is when the book simply misses the payout date. This isn't normally a one day error. This slow-pay shows the inability or lack of desire to pay on time.

When a book shows signs of a weak accounting department, we can not be too cautious. I would vote 6 months. A big deposit bonus program or a decent month of football can keep books a float for a couple months.

Since a slow pay of only 5k with one account is different than a slow pay of 100 customers totalling 100k, perhaps 6 months is not going to work in all cases, but I do think it is an excellent starting point...

As other are pointing out there has to be an identified trend to define a book as a slow-pay operation. I'd say 5 to 6 simultaneous complaints could be a perfect red flag to identify the slow pay Book.

"Probation" should be at least 3 months from the the date of settlement of the slowpays.

This will never be a perfect science. But, here is a thought;

After 3 confirmed slow pays in any 90 period a book should at least enter a "Slow-pay watch". The 4th slow pay in the same 90 day period could eleveate that to an official status of a slow pay book.

I can already hear the Sportsbook.com & SIA apologists crying foul. They have a reasonable arguement that these big books handle more clients.

But when it comes to slow-pays, no player should be left behind right? These big books also have bigger budgets and an equal arguement could be made that they should never have a slow pay.

WE all know if a book has one(1) slow pay there is a SERIOUS cash management problem/or unprofessionaly managed payout system.

If they DO NOT have the players post-up monies READY-To-GO then that means they are playing with players hard-Earn monies and DO NOT have the right amount of "Cash Reserves" to professional run this type of business.

Anything else you try to feed us means that you just keeping a BLIND EYE to the above FACTS.

Buzzsaw but to answer your unprofessional question...the minimum should be for at least 12 months, an entire season.

If you are really going to be REAL WatchDOGs for the PLAYERS.......you have to STOP helping Unprofessionally ran and UNDER funded books as in the long run it hurts everyone.

Satan- I personally attended the watchdog meeting and will give more of my thoughts on what transpired when I arrive home.

However, speaking strictly from a players standpoint, you as a player should feel very lucky to have the likes of TOW, SBR, and SHRINK involved in this industry.
