** If you could change one thing what would it be?

1. More books
2. Facelift to make the pages more appealing
3. Adding soccer
4. Allow user to order layout
5. Allow user to specify odds type (American, decimal, fraction)

** Regarding stale feed - should we take down line from book that are over X minutes stale? (maybe 5 minutes)
Yes or No

** Would you like to "shop" for lines through a messenger robot that was linked to the lines system? (ie AIM or MSN messenger)
Yes, No or N/A

Thanks guys. The more feedback we get the better idea we have of what YOU want. Judging by my ATS I'm not very good at guessing .. lol

I'd like 1) more books

YES - I'd like to take all lines down that are over 5 minutes stale

N/A - I could care less about the robot, but it's possible.

1. Sure why not?

2. You don't want to make it too appealing then it takes away from the product it gives.

3. Soccer sucks

4. change layout yes

5. You want the decimal system go to a euro forum

Jay, I don't understand you meaning of this suggestion -
"2. You don't want to make it too appealing then it takes away from the product it gives."

Why would making it more appealing necessarily be a bad thing?

I meant making it more professional looking. In fact, I've been working with a book that has volunteered to have their graphics guy get some mockups together for us. I've had a look at them and they're great ....

the idea was to have 3 mockups and let the posters vote on the best one. (but you ruined the surprise

Instead, if you can, change their shading to half-strength or perhaps a smaller font size.

Only because I hate IMs

That an excellent idea, I'll run it by the graphics team.

4. Allow user to order layout

It would be nice to have more books of course, but it would be very convenient to allow the user to determine what books they would like to see and what books they don't want to look at.

If someone has accounts at only 5 or 6 books they may not want to have the screen cluttered up with 12 to 15 books they can't use.

Same to assume that adding soccer and european pricing is a waste of time?

lander - Soccer and European pricing is probably not need.

But it would be nice if you made every other column a light shade of grey so it's easier to separate each book from the one next to it.

other than that it's great man!

Controlling order of books would be cool.

Don't add graphics to it. For those of us at times on dial-up refreshing lines as it is takes up a lot of our connections.

IM functions could be interesting. Would have to have a lot of control over them or they would get old quick if they are frequent.

Laker,
I haven't given much thought to the IM functionality, but a quick brainstorm with one book came up with the following idea ...

1. Users controls which books are associate with them (can add/remove from our books)
2. Search for best line by rotation number
3. Capture scores by rotation number
4. User's would be subjected to 1 or 2 "promo IM's" per day. Potentially with an opt-out (not sure). An example would be on Friday an automated batch IM gets sent to all users (opted) saying "reminder BCBets is running a 1/2 price special until 9PM" (or something to that effect).
5. repository of book contact info. (so if Rio is under attack you could potentially send an IM to the bot saying "contact rio" and it returns phone numbers, email addresses, etc ..

I built a prototype, but we've never integrated this with live data (although that bit is trivial).

My number one request would be to have games move to the bottom once they have started. Hate trying to scan through 100 NCAA FB games on Saturday...
