If a book knows that you are a well known poster, Do you think that you ever get better treatment than before they find out who you are?? Does this ever happen to anyone??
I think if you are viewed as a fair and open minded poster, you are more likely to get to the right people and have a better discussion on an issue. Doesn't mean it will ultimately go your way, but you probably get better access to the decision makers.
I think so, but books are also subjects to attempted blackmail by this. Books will often say "Do what you need to do". In all of the pay issues I have handled, I do not recall ever threatening a book with a post.
The question I have is how would any book know the real name of a poster unless the poster provided his or her name? Unless the poster's IP address is somehow obtained by the book and the real name and poster name can therefore be linked together. Food for thought but certainly a possibility.
It does help. I had a minor problem once with an advertised book here. It was concerning a Western Union payout. I used WU for my deposit and when it came time to withdrawal, they would only send up to my deposit amount WU and the rest another method. This was ridiculous so I said if they didnt send the whole amount WU, I was going to post here on the RX. They came back and said we'll approve it this time.
If I ever had a problem with a payout, and the book was getting rude with me, I'd just tell 'em, "Man, wait until Dante at RX hears about this ****. Heads will roll, dammit!!!!!
