It is him. The parlays were for 10% of usual plays. He usually bets 2 units per play, the parlays were for .2 units each, and were returning roughly between 7.5 and 11.5 units each had any of them won. So he lost one unit on five parlays or what would be have of one half of one of his usual plays.

"When playing ML dogs, you really get the true value out of a parlay and so we are going to start adding a few, as they can be highly profitable. We’ll usually use two or three key games with “add-ons” to complete the parlay."
