Don... who is your TOP 5? The "they didn't play anyone" factor should be backed by 5 other teams that have played a "hard" schedule and won.

Rankings

1.Pitt
2.Giants
3.Redskins
4.Tenn
5.Buff

Explainations:
1.Pitt-they have had injuries and continue to win at 5-1. They may be boring to watch but a W is a W.
2.Giants-I highly considered putting the skins ahead of them but I know they did beat them in zorn's first game in NY! they have played SF,Clev,Seat,Cin,STL,and Wash. They have played an easy schedule and this weekend will tell all for them
3.Redskins-They are 5-2. They have went into Dallas and beat them(before the injuries) and went into Philly and beat them when they were down 14-0 which proves they won't give up.
4.Tenn-yes they are 6-0 against no one. Kerry Collins took the giants to the promised land in 2001 and still got beat! this is 2008, If they beat Indy this monday then we will talk
5.Buff- Again another easy schedule leading them to a 5-1 record

One more note, It is ignorant to not have at least one NFC East Team in your top 5

its like the BIG XII we cover the top of the polls while the SEC kills each other. That's how it goes. Later on in the season... the polls will change. BUT RIGHT NOW is the question.

i thought the new england game was the start of the roll?

the merriman loss if felt by that entire defense. their pass rush isnt as good and the secondary isnt either without him.

their running game is very mediocre. they dont have turner this year to help an injured LT. sproles wont get it done.

this isnt the same team as last year. but i guess the afc isnt as strong either.
