what is fresno gonna do when virginia stops their running game...because their qb is a turnover machine...and groh seems to be able to get his teams "bowl ready".

Sphinxter...

Would not touch Cal right now. Wait at least until gametime. Cal's mindset is in the gutter, top 2 receivers out, going against a team that will continue to try to score no matter what. I'm sure we will see a motivated team to start the game and if they get on top early will continue to poor it on. But if they fall behind in this game...

If this was a regular season game with both teams healthy this would be a blow-out. Right now it could be a back-door cover or even an upset.

W.C. Any info about if those 2 receivers for Cal are going to return? I remember they were hurting at the wide receiver position for the Oregon game and almost lost.
Another game that could be a blowout is UCLA over Wyoming. Two 6-5 teams. But I like 6-5 in the Pac-10 more than 6-5 in the MWC. Wyoming has looked dreadful at times this season. I know UCLA has no defense, but neither does Wyoming. If UCLA get a couple early scores, it's going to turn into a fast route.

Sphincter,

You're right about UVa, the last 2 years they were passed over by the Gator

and Peach and ended up in the Tire, beating WVU and Pitt. Groh does get

them ready and by dropping in bowl slots they get an opponent more suited

to outplaying. Careful with the "we don't want to be here approach". They

know they blew it in their big games this year.

D. Anderson should light up that weak Notre Dame pass defense.
They will kill the Irish and it will fly over 49.5 also.

I believe the underdog in the last 4 Holiday Bowl's is 4-0 ATS I would guess the overall dog record is at quite a high % as well. The higher ranked team in this bowl often walks through the motions as this bowl appears to be a slap in the face for them. Cal. may get the win but I believe Leach's boys will probably slip under the #. Of course Tedford may find a way to motivate the Bears to playing to their capabilities. Maybe he tells em' that Texas destroyed the Red Raiders we need to do even better.

I agree with you on VA., should be a massacre. Fresno has played a VERY EASY schedule and Pinegar is a "turnover machine", just like you said. I think it was Clemson in this bowl last year and people had worries about their mindset, lets hope the results are the same this year with the Cavs blowing out the Bulldogs.:suomi:

Line maker has Wrong favorite in the Orange Bowl. Sooners will Expose the weak USC team. Defense will be the key to this game as last time the Sooners were there in Orange Bowl a 10 point dog to FSU. Sooners gave FSU a gimme saftey at the end of that so-called contest.

Sooners Roll !!

I see a lot of people arguing Louisville/Boise......these two teams can and should put up 3 TD's MINIMUM each quarter......a 35 point quarter would not be a surprise.

The over should come in after 3 quarters of play.

I'd love to know your reasoning on this pick. The Ohio State University's Ted Ginn will have a field day playing on turf inside a dome! As will Santonio Holmes and Troy Smith. OSU is one of the best travelling teams in the entire country. Just ask the 1,500 or so Miami fans who were at the Fiesta Bowl with the 82,000 other OSU fans who packed Sun Devil Stadium. Ok. St will be in big trouble if they can't run the ball on OSU. Just ask Hart from Michigan who only had 60 yards on the Buckeyes. Ohio State has some of the top dbs and cbs in the country with one of the best linebacker groups as well. They will shut the run down. Ohio State will be able to go one on one with the Ok St wr's because of this and put a few guys closer to the line. Even though they might not have to do so. I'll take Jim Tressel with 30 days to prepare for a team like Ok St anyday! Ohio State is a young team that is loaded with talent and will be one of the preseason favorites to win the national title next year with Ginn as one of the favorites to win the Heisman. This young group is fired up and want's to make a statement heading into next season. Talking of special teams...Ohio State has the best field goal kicker in the country with NUUUUUGE kicking inside a dome and on turf! Dont be suprised to see a 60 yarder kicked at the Alamo Dome in this game.

This year's Ohio State's bowl game is as big as a lock as the last 2 when Ohio State was +14 vs Miami and +10 vs Kansas St last year....Ohio State waxed ass in both of those games and won outright. No different in this game either. The Ohio State University wins this game by 10 or more.

Good luck on your bowl season :drink:

Have to agree with Step here, but with a qualification, and that's Tressel himself. This is a guy who up until the Mich game kept the offense pretty buttoned up...and who is reputed to have said the most important play in football is the punt (and that's before he recruited Ginn). If he'll let the offense do the things they did against Mich., it could be a lot of fun to be a Buckeye in San Antone...

I've already posted the #1 Bowl play, the GEORGIA BULLDOGS -6.5 by 21 over the Wisconsin Badgers. I just had to comment on the person smoking crack who said Oklahoma State was going to stomp THEE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES LOL. Rameesh sounds like a disgruntled Michigan fan that got ***** slapped all over the field. I have to agree with STEP and I love giving coach Tressel time to prepare for a totally one dimensenal offense. The addition of QB Troy Smith to the Buckeyes offense has been a great decision and the athletes from THEE OHIO STATE will prove too much for the Cowboys from Oklahoma State. I personally think Ohio State PHYSICALLY pounds the **** out of them.

New Mexico, they have a very good run defense, 95 yards a game. If Navy can not run the ball its over.
