Ok,,You are kidding right..They still are the Portland....This team needs a few more pieces before yu can say that...And they Play in the West, which makes it that much harder.

They are young and have a lot of talent. LaMarcus Aldridge going to have to stay healthy all year because after that, they have no effective big men.

Thing is a lot of these Western teams are on the way down, and will have to rebuild for several years (Phoenix, San Antonio). Give the Blazers 2-3, maybe 4 more seasons and they will be competing at least in the Conference Finals.

You've never heard of Greg Oden?! He will be a beast IF he can stay healthy.

I mean seriously, people on ESPN were calling him the "next Shaq" after his first preseason game.

Yup. True. He is as fragile as they come though.

the texas trio (dal/hou/SA) have aging stars and so do the lakers

down the road there is no other team that looks more stacked than portland

Not for nothing , this franshise holds the record for most consecutive seasons of making the playoffs ... snapped a few years ago though. Its only matter of time before they become a force again. But I agree Oden has to get a season under his belt first before making these types of predictions ...

I agree...this team is loaded. BTW, I saw Greg Oden at a Kroger's this summer. He was appearing in a basketball camp or something. He doesn't look nearly as old as people kid about. I was surprised. Maybe that year of rest did him good.
