How is Miami the longshot? They beat a struggling Jets team and they're in. Miami has won 8 of 9 including last week in the coldest game in team history. The NY weather shouldn't be a huge factor. Plus the game time has been moved to 4:15 so the Jets will probably already know they can't win when NE likely beats Buffalo at 1pm. I like Miami here. Ranking each teams chances I'd say:
1. Miami
2. New England
3. NY Jets

When the Jets beat the Titans in mid-season, it looked like they might end up with a bye week. Fast forward to Week 17 and the Jets need help just making playoffs. At 38, an NFL season probably seems a lot longer to Favre than it used to. Meanwhile, Miami is catching fire at the perfect time.

I disagree. Even with NE win at 1 P.M., Jets will still be alive for the wild card because they make it in if they win with a Baltimore loss. Sure, they have a much better chance if NE makes it because the Jags are huge underachievers, but they are still alive for the wild card even with a New England W.

I still can't believe the League has the balls to move 2 games to 4:15 and not all 3 of them! How can the League justify letting the NY Jets know the outcome of the NE game before they take the field?? Obviously the outcome of the Balt/Jack game has an impact as well, but it's a foregone conclussion that this game will be won by Balt. So now you have Mangini between a rock and a hard place. If he wins, he sends NE to the Div. championship, if he tanks the game, he probably loses his job and lets Chad piss on his face in his own stadium. How is this senario fare to anyone??? They should have left all 3 games for a 1:00 start and let the chips fall where they may!!!

The Jets are a mediocre team and don't deserve to be in the playoffs. They beat a couple good teams ( mediocre teams will do that every now and then) and they beat beat a bunch of crappy teams ( mediocre teams will do that every now and then).

The Jets are just suck an average fucking football team that they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. I'd rather see Miami or New Englad in the playoffs because I have zero faith in the Jets doing anything.

I really hope my boys (Dolphins) win it after such a terrible year last year. They may be the only team in history to go from an one win year to winning the division the following year.

That would almost be as good as my winnings this NFL year :nono5:
