He s not as annoying as Steven A or even Boomer but I like it when Roger Lodge fills in for him on radio.

Much rather listen to Colin Cowherd or Papa Joe Chevelier! Cowherd is the best I have heard in a long time.

Problem with Jim Rome on TV is I could care less what some celebrity or comedian opinion is on a sports topic. Rome has this stupid roundtable with morons who know nothing about sports. Tony Kornheiser when he had a radio show or even on PTI would ever waste his time interviewing a celebrity and asking him about Barry Bonds. Kornheiser did another great thing on his radio show. He would never interview an athlete. He said they rarely had anything meaningful to say. Jim Rome became a sports star whore. When you base your radio show on interviews with players then you can no longer be honest because they will stop talking to you. The old Rome only took calls from listeners and would have no problem ripping players a new a-hole.

Rome is very good. I also like Dan Patrick but Rome is better in my book. He's a smart guy and although I don't always agree with him on stuff, Rome always backs it up with logic which is more than can be said for some other guys. His interviews are the shit as well.
