Heads should roll on this one, but they wont. if an innocent person accidentally kills/runs over a cop at a traffic stop, they bring them up on charges, this happens and they'll blow it off.
At a minimum, they should be charged with reckless discharge of a firearm...they wont.
Another moronic post.
Did you happen to even watch the video of the shooting or just comment with no knowledge of what happened? I'm sure I know the answer.
The cops were walking up and a guy pulls out a gun and starts firing at the cops. They pull out their weapons and engage the guy. Keep in mind they were about 5 feet apart from each other. Seriously, like you give a shit what your background is when you're getting shot at. They prevented a crazy gunmen from killing more people and you want them charged with reckless discharge of a firearm?
Do your research next time before you comment.
2 cops fired 16 times at one guy...reckless/excessive comes to mind at that distance

Do you have any idea how you'd react when getting shot at five feet away? Trust me when I tell you when you hear gunshots in close range with people shooting at each other, you don't care how many rounds you shoot or what happens. You are determined to stop the threat.
What is a guy supposed to do if he misses his first three shots say "oh, I know I missed but I've fired three shots and I think anymore than that is excessive...I should stop shooting."
When you're getting shot at, you don't always hit your target. Shots go high and low and left and right. It's just how it goes.
how i would shoot or a trained officer would shoot? innocent bystanders everywhere youre telling me youd pull the trigger 7-9 times at that distance while your buddy did the same? And as mike said the guy didnt even shoot at the police...had 2 bullets left in his gun, shot the coworker 5 times in the head and once in the chest...the police panicked and could have killed innocent people, thank god they only accidentally shot them where they had non life threatening injuries
ou, they did the best they could.
A man with a gun, who had killed someone was RIGHT in front of them.
They were scared and reacted.
