So you guys think the other cop(s) following the guy & monitoring the situation were wrong, and the other cop intervening to such an extreme event, was right?

i don't know. Seems to me the cop following the guy was still to close. it would take two seconds for the guy with the rifle to turn around and get a good shot off towards the cop.

I don't think it's a cut and dry "right" and "wrong" (either/or) situation. But, I don't blame the cop for speeding up and ramming the culprit, for doing what he did.

My buddy got pulled over for a headlight out. Cops pulled him out the car questioned him thoroughly about what was in the car even though he was clean. Cop then orders k9 and the k9 jumps all over the car...cop says...ok you definitely have something in the car. When was the last time you smoked weed? My friend told them he has work at 4:30 am and just came up to the gas station for gas and some food. My friend Is a white pale dude fyi. Cop says his probable cause is the car smells like swisher sweets which are not illegal. My buddy told them it was his new car freshener which it was. Keep in mind maryland just passed a law where you can carry less than a qtr on you. He has no drug record. They then search the car and find nothing. A 10 minute drive for a hard worker who has to be up for work at 3:30 am. Takes over an hour and is all worked up and cant sleep he says.

The shit we don't hear. I'm just being real you should be real too

What's the situation here, context means everything to me. Was he involved in a crime? Was he pointing the weapon at others? Was he was just a guy threatening to kill himself? If what the cop did was against proper procedure, doubt he will get a medal.

For those of you that applaud this officer, you are also agreeing that the officer can do the same to you. We all have rights, we have courts of law to be judge and jury. Too may people are giving up their rights too easily under the guise of safety.

Seriously?

Mario Valencia's February 19 alleged spree included robbing a 7-11, breaking into a church and committing arson, invading a home and stealing a car, the Marana Police Department said. He then allegedly stole a rifle and ammunition from Walmart and fired the gun not far from the store, according to police.

When you go on a crime spree, stealing and shooting a gun, you lose the "right" to be read your Miranda before action is taken.

Some guy breaks into your house with a gun, wanting to rape your wife and children, and you want to hold his hand and ask him to walk with you to the police station?

If im acting like that then I'd be pissed if you dint run my ass over. Should they have waited for him to get into a busy residential/commercial area before they started taking action? Don't get me wrong the video surprised me and I wondered what the hell the cop was thinking but after watching it again I only realized the cops decision making process is 100x faster than mine. When my little girl is learning to plant flowers with mommy in the front yard and someone is cruising by with a loaded weapon...i sure hope there is a cop to run him the fuck over

What bothers me about all this is the fact this guy was able to walk out of a WalMart with a LOADED rifle! Is it really that easy for someone to just steal a loaded weapon from a WalMart? If I was the cops I would be investigating the WalMart procedures on how they handle their firearms department. I'm not a gun guy so don't know how these things are done but shouldn't ammo be locked up or something?

Dude cocked the shotgun and one was ready for whoever got close, the cop should be given a medal for doing exactly what he was paid(little) to do, serve and protect.

I think it would be cool to live in a society where people acted like normal civilized human beings. Maybe a place where the normal expectation if you rob a store, are firing off shots in the street and walking around with a loaded weapon is to be randomly picked off in anyway someone seems fit. Would have been cooler if an innocent bystander had a cross bow and put one clear through his entire hip. Don't act like a jackass and you won't get trucked by a cop car...
