poker vs gambling ?

Hi was at a poker site and they mentioned the government has flip-flopped on poker which may be allowed but that gambling on games or sporting events is illegal. i wonder if this changes the onus from the money movers to the individual players? any thought on this. i was at two+two.

While betting on games is "illegal" I don't think you will ever see a big push by the US government to patrol it they way they did the poker websites. They money lost on revenues and what not by knocking out the betting publics interest in bullshit games (think TCU-La Tech) would be huge to TV stations and what not. Personally, I think that is one reason the US government hasn't went after a lot of betting websites.
