Fish is there a way to calculate ROI for a tourney? I mean prior to it's start

Like some formula that involves players, prize money and entry fee.

I am asking particularly becuase of the gauranteed money tourneys

Very easy to do Rob, just plug the numbers in.

Say you have a tourney with a $1,000 GUARANTEED PURSE and the buy-in and entry fee is say $100 +$10 with NO re-buys.

So, if 9 players sign-up, that would be $110 x 9 equals $990 in the pool by the PLAYERS...........so the house would have to add $10 to make it the $1,000 GUARANTEED.

Thus you have a small overlay if all your competition is on basically the same playing level you are.

So moving forward, a player is getting a return on AVERAGE of 1,000 divided by 9 which is $111.11 on their intial $110 investment..............therefore they are making $1.11 on their $110 investment which is 0.01009% ROI.

I think I did that right, did it fast, as I am currently playing poker two-handed.
