Went to the local casino here in Detroit for a night of poker. Bought in for 175. Played all the way till about 5am started at 7pm on friday.

Early on when I 1st sat down it turned out tostraddler folds other guy calls be a 200-500 table that broke up. About 5 players stayed at the table to play. I thought that this might be a good test for me to go against some better players. So table has 8 people to start. Seemed like 2 guys likes to strattle everytime for $15.

Well I im in sm a straddle for 15 is in play. get 2 callers comes to me QQ I raise it up to 40 get 2 callers including the straddler. Flop comes A, Q, 7 rainbow. Against weak players I would check this but I have seen these 2 play before and know they like to see cards. I lead out another 40 straddler folds other guy calls.

Turn - 5

Now I check feeling that this guy had the Ace and he might think he has the best right now. He bet $100 well I have 90 left and instanly call. He knew he was drawing dead.

Head had A,K

Wooohooo Im there 10 hands and I more than double up. after that I was just a patient sound player and built it up over the night.

Lost a 400 pot when a girl hit runner runner flush on me oh well can't complain about getting action like that when shes drawing so short.

Walked out at 5am after misreading my hand. LOL thought I had QQ again turns out it was QJ. OOPS the other guy had A,Q and I paid him off about 150. Time to go after that got up and left was home and in bed 20 mins after.

Fuck I need to learn when to leave. Those are the types of things that can hurt my BR.

Started with 175 walked (staggered) out with almost 600.

Seems like I donk off chips at the very end of the session and than decide I have played enough. This is not the first time I threw money away at the end. This is a big hole in my game. I need to leave when I feel like I am not on my game.

PP That link didn't take me to anything. Is that a book?

Thats it...not an easy read either, its almost like a textbook where you have to start at the beginning and go thru it cus if u start in the middle you dont have a clue what they are talking about.
On a side note im on the waiting list to get poker lessons from Sunny Mehta, he's in New Orleans and as soon as our schedules can collide its on. I dont have much problem playing limit pokerr against most anyone but NL cash games i have to admit im frequently lost at the table against even the worst players..
