King Yao has just finished his third draft of his poker book, "Hold 'em Brain".

He has posted the entire book on the internet, so that he could get input for his final draft from poker aficiandos like you.

If you see anything wrong with the text, or anything he missed, you can just e-mail him with your suggestions for improvement.

Or like me, you can just copy and paste all of the chapters to Microsoft Word and get a free 174-page poker book.

Speaking of poker I just came acroos an article about WSOP - Greg "Fossilman" Raymer, who earned a record-shattering $5 million, was a 400:1 long shot in the grueling seven-day 2004 World Series of Poker. Raymer's final two adversaries at the table, 23-year-old David Anthony Williams (who earned $3.5 million), and Josh Arieh (earning $2.5 million) were also ranked in the bottom half with 500:1 and 400:1 chances respectively by the same online bettors. The "Fossilman" dethroned his much written about 2003 predecessor, Chris Moneymaker, who was also given poor odds (460:1) to repeat his Rocky Balboa-like win. Meanwhile, both Pokertropolis' pre-tournament favorite Johnny Chan (50:1) and Moneymaker were vanquished in the very first round.

Pinnacle had Phil Ivey (140-1) and Gus Hansen (160-1) as their "favorites", Hansen lasted to the 2nd Day, I think - Phil exited very early. Raymer was not completely unknown, he did win a small tournament in Foxwoods some years back.

MTS - Curious about some of the day one losers. I have not seen how some of the match-ups were graded, meaning is there an order of finish for the entire field posted anywhere.

Perhaps, the world will never know.

PokerPages.com did give such stats (which are still available for viewing) in previous year's tournaments, but there were so many casualties over the first two sessions this time, that no one had time to count the carnage.

I'd like to see it, too.

pinny graded their matchups by day on the first 2 days. So if your guy played Sat. and got knocked out early or late, it was the same. If his opp. played Sun. and got thru to the end of the day, you won. If not, it was a push, wager refunded.

Pissed me off because I had Farah against Moneymaker, and Moneymaker was gone early, while Farah played the next day and got knocked out at the end of the day.
